Mediation - finding solutions together<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Mediation is a structured and voluntary process for conflict resolution. A neutral mediator supports the parties involved in finding a solution that is acceptable to all parties. Originally developed as an alternative to legal disputes, mediation is suitable for private, economic and professional conflicts as well as for disputes in families, neighbourhoods or organizations. The focus is not on the past and apportioning blame, but on constructive solutions for the future. Mediation creates space for respectful dialog, promotes mutual understanding and facilitates sustainable agreements.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

  2. Collection of topics<\/strong> - All parties to the conflict name their concerns and issues.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Clarification of interests<\/strong> - Backgrounds, emotions and needs are worked out and mutual understanding is promoted.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Solution finding<\/strong> \u2013 Creative solution options are developed and evaluated.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Agreement<\/strong> \u2013 An agreed solution is recorded in writing<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

      \nThe mediator is neutral and ensures that all perspectives are heard and considered equally.<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. Individual responsibility<\/strong><\/span>
      \nThe parties themselves work out the solutions. The mediator supports the process but does not make any decisions.<\/span><\/li>\n
    4. Confidentiality<\/strong><\/span>
      \nEverything that is discussed during mediation remains confidential and is not made public.<\/span><\/li>\n
    5. Openness to results<\/strong><\/span>
      \nThe aim of mediation is to find a solution that is acceptable to all parties. The outcome is not determined in advance.<\/span><\/li>\n
