Background

SPORTTOTAL EVENT GmbH, based in Stuttgart, is a subsidiary of the Cologne-based SPORTTOTAL AG. It exclusively hosts the Porsche Experience in the four subject areas Ice, Travel, Adventure and Track Experience. Its central success factor is its employees: 30 to 40 event professionals are constantly developing their projects for the premium brand Porsche and in doing so are building important personal and trusting customer relationships. With approximately 200 active driving events per year, the company is larger and more successful than ever before.

Task

SPORTTOTAL EVENT should be strengthened as a company and as an employer brand. Who are we? What do we stand for? What makes us special? Identity-building questions such as these should be discussed, answered and fixed in order to give every employee a clear and unified mission statement for the future.

Solution

The team is the starting and finishing point: An anonymous survey of the views of all employees provides a current and honest picture of the mood. On this basis, 12 managers and opinion leaders develop the mission statement and positioning priorities in a one-day workshop. During the summer party it is presented to the employees and supplemented, commented and discussed in World Café style. Finally, working groups are formed on prioritized topics to fill the mission statement with life and to consolidate the spirit of further development.
